Good old days

Technology is developing faster than we can imagine. Everyday a new gadget is being introduced and soon it becomes part of our life, as if we have never lived without it. Kids spend more time in front of TV, or playing with iPad than playing outside with friends. We have played so many simple, yet [...]

Lifelike

It’s a cliché that an image speaks louder that a thousand words. But if that’s so just imagine the number of words you have to write compared to a short animation. Maybe someday in the future it will be common to have animation like these on the wall at home. Probably equipped with a motion [...]

First Big Responsive Website Launched

Responsive web-design has been a buzzword in the industry for a while, but no-one has really nailed a big project that truly adapts to all viewports – until now. The redesign of the online version of the Boston Globe launced a few weeks ago, and Ill spend some time taking you through the basics. New showreel!

Finally, after many late nights and hours spent screen-capturing sites and tracking down original source material, we managed to finish our new showreel. It includes some of the projects that we’ve produced over the last few years. The latest project was redesigning NetComs e-marketing program according to the new guidelines. In this case we had a newsletter ”guru” helping us, and monitoring our work. We picked up a few points on [...]

MVC & Robotlegs View Utility

As a developer you often find yourself implementing the same basic functionality and logic over and over again. At its simplest, your application needs to present some graphical output, and react to user input. A more advanced application might need to fetch data from a third party service, store user data in a database, load [...]

The decoy

How to make someone buy something by addressing their (predictable) irrationality. Let’s say you want to sell something online. Could be anything from a tangible product to a software license. Why not boost you sales by addressing the core behavior of your potential buyer? More precisely, their basic need of relative comparison. Pretend you work [...]

Responsive Web Design

It’s all the rage these days but what is it? “Responsive Web Design is the approach that suggests that design and development should respond to the user’s behavior and environment based on screen size, platform and orientation” – Smashing Magazine. Why Simply put it is extremely difficult not to mention impractical to attempt to design [...]

Pretty smart

I do not feel especially smart right now, so I present some rather smart thoughts from some clever, creative minds. About the biggest mistake people doing digital marketing does: Confusing the real internet with an illusionary marketing internet full of Consumers who can’t wait to interact and converse with all the Brands in their lives. [...]
